Session 1

There's nothing to do for the first class session. Just come with your questions!

HERE'S A LINK TO YOUR READING SCHEDULE

Your assignment this week is to read Chapters 1-15 in David Copperfield.

The reading assignments for David Copperfield are longer than most weekly assignments this year. This is simply because it's an unusually long book. It's also a great story and fairly easy to read, so I don't think you'll have any trouble. Just be prepared to devote some time to it over the next few weeks. Please don't wait until the day before class to do the reading.

I highly recommend using the plan in the reading schedule to divide the reading throughout the week.

If you need or would like some extra help on this book, please make use of the material provided by Sparknotes.com. You can find it here. Please use Sparknotes as supplemental help, not as a substitute for actual reading. Mr. Dickens would be highly offended.
